Recently, I was telling someone about my time in The Gambia as a Peace Corps Volunteer. A lot happened during my two years of living there, especially challenging situations. These really helped me to gain some perspective. And to become more grateful for the life that I live here in the United States. Having this conversation made me think about a particularly challenging situation that I encountered there. I wrote a blog post about this situation, which I'd like to share in this episode of The Blog Readings (TBR). And it was a time when a fire threatened my village.
