Greg Rubin, President and Founder of California’s Own Native Landscape Design, Inc., has been working with California native plants since 1985. With over 700 native landscapes designed across Southern California, his expertise spans residential, commercial, and institutional projects that emphasize year-round beauty, low maintenance, water efficiency, rich habitat, and fire resistance. Greg has been featured in numerous publications and has made repeat appearances on NPR. In this episode, Greg shared insights on rehabbing landscapes and planting native plants, offering practical advice and expert knowledge. He is also the co-author, along with Lucy Warren, of The California Native Landscape: The Homeowner’s Design Guide to Restoring its Beauty and Balance.
