A Firearm Suppressor is NOT a Silencer like we see on TV. It merely dampens the loud report (bang) when firing a firearm. However if shooting subsonic ammo, which does not break the sound barrier, e.g. muzzle velocity is less that 1,116 feet per second, then an attached Suppressor will much the sound much less in decibels. Whereby making it more quieter, and enjoyable to sport shoot.
But the sad part is, still today our Federal Government mandates law abiding citizens pay a $200 fee to obtain a "Stamp" to get permission to possess one of these firearm accessories. Have we not learned anything from the Stamp Act?
