God initiated a loving relationship with all humanity. He loved us first and we responded to Him. Not one of us connected to Him out of our own goodness or personal desire to be friends with Him. He called our names, then created a pathway to His heart.This pathway set us free from the law of sin and death. We are given the privilege and honor, by God, to train our appetites. Believers who are immature possess the ability to discern good from evil, but mature believers possess the ability to discern what is good nourishment and what isn't.A key to cultural transformation is for believers to be complete and mature. In part 2 of this series we take a deeper look at the river that flows from the sanctuary in Ezekiel 47. The prophet declares that the fruit from these trees were for food and that the leaves were for medicine or healing. The leaves represent our identity and inheritance as sons and daughters of God, our Father. Our inheritance is our "Metron", or our sphere of influence. The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. When Jesus rose from the dead, it proved His integrity and announced once and for all that He was and is the Truth. It also firmly proved that God, our Father, is trustworthy and faithful.(1) God cannot lie. (2) He is who He says He is. These two statements are the foundation and fabric of our relationship with Him.
