"Rusalka" — The Beautiful Water Spirit That Lures You to Your Death

Long before modern horror, Slavic folklore warned of beautiful spirits waiting beneath the water's surface.

Known as the Rusalka, these mysterious beings were said to inhabit rivers, lakes, and forests, appearing as enchanting young women who sang, danced, and lured unsuspecting travelers toward the water. Depending on the region, they were remembered as spirits of the dead, guardians of nature, symbols of grief, or embodiments of restless souls.
