Cs: V tichém koutě opuštěného zábavního parku stála malá skupina svítících postaviček.
En: In a quiet corner of an abandoned amusement park stood a small group of glowing figures.

Cs: Po celé ploše byl rozprostřen jemný sníh, který tiše padal na zničené kolotoče a rozbitou horskou dráhu.
En: The entire area was covered with a light snow that silently fell on the ruined carousel and broken roller coaster.

Cs: Jakub a Tereza stáli u brány a rozhlíželi se kolem.
En: Jakub and Tereza stood by the gate, looking around.

Cs: "Tohle je ono, Terezo," řekl Jakub, oči mu zářily vzrušením.
En: "This is it, Tereza," said Jakub, his eyes shining with excitement.

Cs: "Dnes najdeme ten kus stroje, který potřebujeme."
En: "Today we'll find the piece of machinery we need."

Cs: "Ale pamatuj, že tu nejsme sami," varovala Tereza, přitáhnouc si svůj barevný zimní šál.
En: "But remember, we're not alone here," warned Tereza, pulling her colorful winter scarf closer.

Cs: Byla to venkovská dívka, a i když měla ráda dobrodružství, věděla také, kdy být opatrná.
En: She was a country girl, and although she loved adventure, she also knew when to be cautious.

Cs: Jakub vedl Terezu k strašidelnému domu.
En: Jakub led Tereza to the haunted house.

Cs: "Vezmeme zkratku tudy," rozhodl, když zkontroloval svůj improvizovaný plán parku.
En: "We'll take a shortcut this way," he decided, after checking his improvised map of the park.

Cs: "Je to blíž k horské dráze."
En: "It's nearer to the roller coaster."

Cs: "Jsem skeptická, Jakube," odpověděla Tereza.
En: "I'm skeptical, Jakube," replied Tereza.

Cs: "Co když nás chytí pasti?"
En: "What if we get caught in some traps?"

Cs: Jakub se jen zasmál.
En: Jakub just laughed.

Cs: "To je součást zábavy, ne? Pojď, bude to rychlé."
En: "That's part of the fun, right? Come on, it'll be quick."

Cs: Oba vstoupili do temného domu.
En: They both entered the dark house.

Cs: Pod jejich kroky křupaly staré podlahy, stíny se táhly po stěnách.
En: The old floors creaked under their steps, and shadows stretched across the walls.

Cs: Tereza se nedokázala ubránit chvění, když zahlédla starou figurínu v rohu.
En: Tereza couldn't help but shiver when she saw an old mannequin in the corner.

Cs: "Podívej, je tu páka," řekl Jakub nadšeně.
En: "Look, there's a lever," said Jakub excitedly.

Cs: "Zkusím ji."
En: "I'll try it."

Cs: Sotva stiskl rukojeť, ozvala se hlasitá rána.
En: As soon as he pulled the handle, a loud bang was heard.

Cs: Rozhlédli se a s hrůzou uviděli, jak se série starých ohňostrojů začíná odpalovat do vzduchu.
En: They looked around and, to their horror, saw a series of old fireworks starting to launch into the air.

Cs: Barevné exploze osvětlily nebe nad nimi.
En: Colorful explosions lit up the sky above them.

Cs: "Nenene, tohle už je moc!" vykřikla Tereza, přidržovala si uši.
En: "No, no, no, this is too much!" screamed Tereza, covering her ears.

Cs: Světla a hluk přitáhly pozornost dalších sběračů v okolí.
En: The lights and noise attracted the attention of other scavengers in the area.

Cs: Jakub a Tereza neměli na vybranou.
En: Jakub and Tereza had no choice.

Cs: Museli rychle zmizet.
En: They had to disappear quickly.

Cs: Utíkali z parku, sklouzávajíce po ledových cestách.
En: They ran out of the park, sliding along the icy paths.

Cs: V těsném závěsu je pronásledovali další hladoví dobrodruhové. Když už to vypadalo, že je někdo chytí, Tereza spatřila malou budku.
En: Closely pursued by other hungry adventurers, it seemed like someone might catch them when Tereza spotted a small booth.

Cs: "Tam! Schováme se tam!" zavelela.
En: "There! We'll hide there!" she commanded.

Cs: Jakub poslechl a oba se vešli dovnitř.
En: Jakub obeyed, and they both squeezed inside.

Cs: K jejich překvapení našli malý funkční generátor.
En: To their surprise, they found a small functioning generator.

Cs: Tereza ho zkusila zapnout, a k úlevě obou uslyšeli jemné vrčení motoru.
En: Tereza tried to turn it on, and to both their relief, they heard the gentle hum of the motor.

Cs: "Konečně něco funguje," vydechl Jakub.
En: "Finally, something works," Jakub sighed.

Cs: "Tohle musíme vzít," řekla Tereza chvatně.
En: "We have to take this," Tereza said hastily.

Cs: Jakub přikývl a opatrně vytáhl generátor ven.
En: Jakub nodded and carefully pulled the generator out.

Cs: Později, když už seděli v bezpečí svého úkrytu, Jakub se rozhlédl po okolí a řekl: "Myslel jsem, že jde jen o opravy.
En: Later, as they were sitting safely in their hideout, Jakub looked around and said, "I thought it was just about repairs.

Cs: Ale nakonec je to o něčem jiném."
En: But in the end, it's about something else."

Cs: Tereza se usmála.
En: Tereza smiled.

Cs: "Je to o dobrodružství, Jakube.
En: "It's about the adventure, Jakube.

Cs: A dnes to stálo za to."
En: And today, it was worth it."

Cs: Nadešla půlnoc, Nový rok.
En: Midnight arrived, the New Year.

Cs: Bezpečně schovaní slyšeli ozvěny ohňostrojů zdaleka.
En: Safely hidden, they heard the echoes of fireworks from afar.

Cs: Jakub věděl, že společně dokážou cokoli.
En: Jakub knew that together they could accomplish anything.

Cs: A tak, zatímco ozvěny starého světa utichaly, Jakub a Tereza věděli, že jejich přátelství a smích je tou nejlepší trofejí z dnešního dne.
En: And so, while the echoes of the old world faded, Jakub and Tereza knew that their friendship and laughter were the best trophies of the day.
