Sometimes life throws you a curveball. And sometimes you can adjust to it and carry on ... But sometimes it’s a huge, meteor-sized curveball. It lands and sits there in front of you — and it’s not only big but, well, it just doesn’t make any sense. What it asks of you is impossible ... There’s no way it can work. Is there a way to see beyond the impossible — and say yes?

You’ve waited. You’ve prayed. You’ve trusted. You’ve tried to make the best choices you know to make, to keep your attitude positive — tried to stay hopeful. But still ... this isn’t what your life was supposed to look like. How do you look beyond the unanswered prayers that surround you?

What if life as we see it isn't the whole story? What if there’s another perspective — one that could lift us beyond the day-to-day, the fears, the insecurities, the pain? What does the Christmas story — or the daily grind of our lives — look like through the eyes of angels? When life presses in ... What if we could look beyond the visible? What if there’s someone on our side?

A conversation can be life-changing. Looking back, you can probably identify moments when you learned something that altered your trajectory, even came to define how you live. Where would you be without those moments of connection, when spiritual freedom came through relationship? Who would you be? Who needs that kind of conversation with you?

We love our city! And we want to be a community that serves Calgary ... We want to be the church where we live, to extend true connection and support to the people we rub shoulders with — in our neighbourhoods, at our places of work, where we hang out and have fun. What does it look like to not only gather — but to then scatter and make our city a better place?

Even without leaving our nation, we can experience other cultures, truly Canadian in their origin. This weekend we’ll get a glimpse into what God is doing to change lives and bring hope in the province of Quebec. In Isaiah, God says to His people, “I am doing a new thing!” This weekend, come and see!
