Is the power of God at work in your life? Is the power of God at work in the life of this congregation? Are you ready to experience both praise and persecution?

To be the Church we need to be, our life in community needs to exhibit the same description that can be seen in the very first verse of our text . . . they devoted themselves to the Apostles' teaching, to the breaking of the bread, to fellowship and to prayer.

What is our purpose as a church? Or more simply put, what do we say as a church? We are to point to God's work in our lives . . . to tell others of Christ, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith.

Thomas Acquinas points out the importance of beginning Gospel conversations where people are. But, no matter where they start, they must always point to salvation in and throught the Lord Jesus Christ alone.

The Gospel has brought one of two responses: reception as the Good News of Jesus Christ; or, ridicule as a foolish man's folly. May it continue to go forth in our midst as God wills it.

A 'New Testament' Church (one belonging to Jesus) is defined by certain principles laid out in the Bible. Prayer. Apostolic leadership. Authority of God's Word. Let us always seek to be the Church of Jesus, and none other!

What do we see in the life of the early Church described in the book of Acts that we should see in our own lives and the life of this congregation? Does this congregation demonstrate the marks of a New Testament Church? Does your own life?

What are we to do while we wait upon Christ to return? How are we to bear witness to what God is doing here and now and forever?
