October 6, 2019 Morning Sermon:  Jesus introduces God the Holy Spirit with 4 intimacies.

Paul's first recorded sermon in Pisidian Antioch reveals to the Jews there how Jesus was the Messiah that fulfilled all prophecies and completed promises made.

Jesus explains to the disciples and to us the power and intimacies of saving faith.

Sin is humanity's greatest problem but God provides a remedy for it in Jesus Christ.  The first recorded sermon of Paul the Apostle to the Gentiles.

Jesus repeats some instructions and sayings to the disciples, in the upper room, but the reason he does is because of the sacrifice on the cross that looms in his mind.  His repeats make sense only in the foreground of the cross.

Jesus tells his disciples that the betrayal will not change their mission.  He gives Judas one more chance but the betrayer will not be deterred from his soul-selling venture.

Jesus washes the feet of the disciples because he loves them completely and deliberately.  For us this event is not about service but about faith expressing itself through love.

Every soul needs rescuing and Jesus was sent for such a purpose.
