Welcome to the book of Revelation… where opinions are strong, charts are plentiful, and nobody agrees on anything. Resource links at the bottom.
In Part 1 of our Revelation discussion, Jonathan and Brandon lay the groundwork by walking through authorship, possible dates of writing, and then bravely stepping into the deep end of end-times interpretation. Yes, we cover all the major views—especially the different perspectives on the millennium—and yes, we probably left someone’s favorite chart out. Don't miss part 2 next week though, which is more important as we will discuss the theological implications of the book.
Along the way, both hosts share their own interpretive viewpoints, explain why they hold them, and do their best to be fair… while fully expecting to upset at least a few listeners in the process. If you have strong opinions about Revelation, rest assured: there is a very good chance you will feel personally challenged at least once.
This episode is thoughtful, biblical, honest, and occasionally sarcastic—because sometimes that’s the only way to talk about apocalyptic literature without losing your mind.
Listen in for solid background, respectful debate, and a reminder that faithful Christians can disagree while still standing firmly on God’s Word. Don't miss part 2 next week where we focus on the theological teachings of the book.
