False teacher's in John's day claimed to be in fellowship with the Lord while living lives devoted to sin. These false teachers refused to take sin seriously. The thing we must understand, is fellowship with God does not come on our terms. It comes on God's conditions. What then are God's conditions for us to have close fellowship with the Lord?

Pastor Blake starts a new book of the Bible this week. 1 John is our study. False teachers were trying to mislead the church by denying the humanity of Christ. John uses this beginning of this letter to the church to remind them of the reality of the incarnation.
