1. Praying for Ourselves and Our Families

Psalm 139:23-24, “Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way

everlasting!”

• Pray that God would reveal sin in your life, that you might confess it and

experience His forgiveness and renewal (1 John 1:9).

• Pray that God would enable you to draw closer to Him (James 4:8).

• Pray that God would empower you to do your part to maintain godly

relationships with others (Ephesians 4:1-3; Romans 12:18).

2. Praying for the Church

Acts 9:31 “So the church throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria had peace and was being built up. And walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, it multiplied.”

• Pray that our love toward God and people would increase (Matthew 22:37-40;

Philippians 1:9-11).

• Pray that we would all live and walk by the Spirit, bearing His fruit (Galatians

5:19-23).

• Pray that the Body of Christ would grow in Christlikeness through the ministry

of each member (Ephesians 4:11-16; 1 Corinthians 12:7).

3. Praying for the Lost

Romans 10:1, “Brothers, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for them is that they may be saved.”

• Pray that God would give us his heart and perspective toward those who

haven’t been saved (2 Corinthians 5:14-20; Luke 19:10).

• Pray that we would be faithful to share the Gospel with others, trusting God to

save people (Psalm 126:6; Mark 4:26-29).

Romans 14:7-9, “For none of us lives to himself, and none of us dies to himself. For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord’s. For to this end Christ died and lived again, that He might be the Lord both of the dead and of the living.”
