Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024. At Easter, we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus but what is the message of Easter? What does the resurrection mean for you? How should we live in light of the resurrection?

Today's sermon considers a man named Jesus Barabbas, who was sentenced to death by crucifixion. But Barabbas was released in exchange for Jesus, the Christ. Jesus took his place! What an amazing display of the mercy of God! Do you know the mercy of God? Look to Jesus and find mercy.

Trials, crises, and failures seem to either push people away from God or draw people nearer to God. What makes the difference? What do you do, when you really mess up? The biblical text comes from Matthew 26:47 - 27:10.

Jesus established a New Covenant in his own blood by going to the cross. What does this mean for you and me? Can Jesus forgive someone like me? YES! Find forgiveness in Jesus. This week's text is Matthew 26:26-46.
