1) The Peace of Christ that rules (v. 15)

2) The Word of Christ that dwells (v. 16)

This sermon from Colossians 3:15-17 looks at three reasons we can be thankful.

We're in the family of God, so be thankful for...

1. The peace of Christ that Rules (v. 15).

2. The Word of Christ that Dwells (v. 16).

3. The Name of Christ that is Honored (v. 17).

This past Sunday we looked entitled "You're in the Family" from Colossians 3:12-14 and saw two results of being in the family of God.

1) We belong in the Father's family, so look like the Son (v. 12)

2) We belong in the Father's family, so act like the Son (v. 13-14).

In this sermon, you’ll find two outcomes of being in God’s family. 

1. You’re in the Father’s family, so look like His Son (v. 12).

2. You’re in the Father’s family so act like His Son (v. 13-14).

Take two minutes to look at the sermon from Sunday (Colossians 3:1-11) so you can be reminded to "Keep Lookin' Up!"

1) Set you minds on the things above, for you are a new creation in Christ! (Colossians 3:1-4)

2) Stomp out the things below, for you are a new creation in Christ! (Colossians 3:5-11)

In this sermon, we look at Colossians 3:1-11 and learn two instructions for the Christian.

1) Seek the things above, because you are a new creation in Christ (vv.1-4).

2) Stomp out the things below, because you are a new creation in Christ (vv. 5-11).

Two Minute Tuesday is designed to help remind you about the sermon from Sunday so you can respond to the sermon from Sunday throughout the week.  This week's Two-Minute Tuesday looks at Colossians 2:16-23 and shows three ways we should keep moving forward as a Christian:

1. We will keep moving forward by rejecting the emptiness of legalism and we will not be judged those who embrace it.  We embrace Christ alone. (vv.16-17).

2. We will keep moving forward by rejecting the emptiness of mystical experiences and the condemnation of those who rely on them.  We rely on Christ alone. (vv.18-19).

3. We will keep moving forward by refusing to live according to the ways of the world.  We live for Christ alone. (v. 20-23).

Jesus is our God, the only one who can make us complete (vv.8-10).

Jesus is our Savior, the only one who can bring us from death to life (vv. 11-13).

Jesus is our Hero, the only one who can erase our failures, nailing them to the cross (v 14).

Jesus is our King, the only one who will rule over all (v.15)
