Randy is the Executive Director of the Tennessee Baptist Mission Board. He has served in that capacity since 2010. Before that, he was the pastor of the First Baptist Church of Sevierville, Tennessee, and also the First Baptist Church of Morristown, Tennessee. Randy and Jeanne are both natives of Mobile, Alabama. Randy is a graduate of William Carey College and the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary

Since 2017, Roc has served with the Tennessee Baptist Mission Board as the Evangelism Team Leader. He is also the Special Assistant to the Executive Director of the Tennessee Baptist Mission Board. Before that, he was the pastor of Indian Springs Baptist Church in Kingsport, Tennessee, for 11 years. He is originally from North Carolina and is a graduate of Carson-Newman University. He holds a master’s degree and a PHD degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He is also a Trustee for New Orleans Seminary and is currently the Chairman of the Board of Trustees.

This episode, we will study Matthew 9:9-13 as we consider three great life lessons.

On this episode, we will study Matthew 9:1-8. It is a passage that reminds us of the importance of faith. Hebrews 6 tells us that without faith it is impossible to please God. My prayer is that our faith would be strengthened today!

In the passage, Jesus encounters some men facing a serious problem. As always, Jesus has a solution for man’s problem. My prayer is that we would all be reminded that the Lord meets us where we are and He wants to help us with whatever challenge we face in life.

Our Scripture today is Matthew 8:23-27. The passage asks a probing question, “What kind of man is this? Even the winds and sea obey Him.” When we answer that question, we have answered the most important question of life. What kind of man is this? He is God incarnate who came to die on a cross to pay the price of all who will trust Him and follow Him with their lives. And He promises that if we follow Him, we will have eternal life.
