Lamenting doesn't eel natural, but is a part of life and an important genre in the Bible. An entire book (Lamentations) is dedicated to it and multiple prophets use it as an act of worship and spiritual expression. Jesus lements in Luke 13 over the spiritual state of Jerusalem.
