Solomon built more than anyone in his day — palaces, cities, even the temple itself — yet by the end of his life he called it all vanity, because for all he built, he never built a true home. The sermon asks a simple but piercing question: are we building a house, or are we building a home?

The main point is that an anxious home is built on self-reliance and stays busy managing life, while a blessed home is built on the Lord and centers on relationships — Jesus first, family second, work and activities after that.
