Does God really know your name? Is he too big to care about our needs? Is it really his plan to use us to advance his kingdom? Today we will learn from Nehemiah why it’s important to dwell in our cities and that God really does know your name!

Most of us don’t pray big, bold prayers like Nehemiah. In fact, some of us are limping along in our prayer life. But just as it was for Nehemiah, prayer is a great way to invite God into our story. Today lead pastor David will give us some handles on how prayer can find it’s way into our everyday experience.

"Hey... did you hear about your neighbor? Oh, and what about your friend?" Gossip. We all do it and we've all been the subject of it. And no, we don't like it. But we still participate, don't we? Join lead pastor David as he walks us through how little whispers caused big trouble in Nehemiah's world.

It's easy to tell ourselves the events that happened in the book of Nehemiah happened a long time ago, and that they don't really apply to our lives, here, today. But we're discovering together that's not the case at all. Today we unpack how Nehemiah and his friends had to endure some smack from others. They could have given up, but they didn't; and their example helps us learn how to handle critics in our own lives.

Being stuck is not a fun place to be. Whether you're in a vehicle with its wheels spinning in the mud, or in the middle of things that need to change personally. Sometimes we don't know how to get to the "other side". The bad news is it happens a lot. As we continue our study of the book of Nehemiah, lead pastor David will share more of Nehemiah' story that will help each us understand a little more about how we can get unstuck. Today we start a new series from the Old Testament book of Nehemiah.

Trust us when we say that Nehemiah can show us how it works. Lead pastor David will be starting us in chapter 1, verse 1, with the question: Can we be the solution?

Last weekend we started this whole discussion on what our Vision could look like. So, what is the rest of 2011 going to look like? How do we live out our mission of leading people to life change?
