In our message today, John speaks to us from Matthew 7:1-6 where Jesus focuses on the attitude of our judgmental hearts. People have a problem with judging others based on what they perceive to be the standard for life. Jesus challenges us to take a close look in the mirror and see who we are before we point out the faults in others.

Today, John brings us a message about anxiety and worry through the eyes of Jesus. In his message, Jesus encourages us to put our trust in God rather than allow the anxiety of life overcome.

Today, John brings us a message from Matthew 6:19-24 where Jesus confronts our attitude of where our heart lies in regards to our treasures. Many people seek treasures on earth while Jesus calls to lay up our treasures in heaven.

This morning Jesse Frame will be bringing our message on Matthew 6:16-18. He will be discussing the topic fasting which Jesus addressed in His Sermon on the Mount. Jesse helps us get a better understanding about this spiritual discipline that many of us may not fully grasp.

Today, John brings us a message from Jesus' Sermon on the Mount covering Matthew 5:43-48 where Jesus speaks to us about loving our enemies. We all have people in our lives that haven't proven to be our friends, and yet, Jesus calls us to love them just as we would love our neighbor or ourself.

Today John brings us a message from Matthew 5:38-42 where Jesus confronts the attitude of revenge. While the Old Testament speaks of and "eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth" it doesn't mean that we have God's permission to get revenge on those who do us wrong. Those statements were intended to safeguard the judicial system from imputing too severe a punishment or too weak of one. As individuals, we are to turn the other cheek and go offer more than expected or required from those who seek to belittle us. Our role is to live at peace with those around us.

As we continue our series of sermons covering the Sermon on the Mount, we take a look at what it means to people a person of integrity. Jesus confronted the people of His day with their use of oaths and promises. Many swear by something they consider greater than themselves in order to give validity to their words, but Jesus says that our integrity ought to be such that we should simply say, "Yes" and "No." Anything beyond that is unnecessary. In a world that operates in the realm of deception, the church is to be that which guards the truth.

Our message this morning brings us to the sensitive topic of adultery and divorce. Jesus felt that this area of life was of utmost importance that He needed to address it and take it deeper than that of the teachings of the Scribes and Pharisees. Adultery begins in the heart through a lustful look. This action has caused so many to divorce through the years that it plagues every society. But God wants us to stay pure and stay together as husband and wife. He values who we are and the relationship which He has created in marriage.

In our message today, Jesse Frame brings us some fresh insight into Jesus' take on the 6th Commandment. In Matthew 5:21-26 Jesus takes the topic of murder to the very heart of the problem. It is our attitude that makes the difference. When we allow our anger to take fester in our hearts, murder has already begun. Rather than letting the spirit of anger dwell within us, it is best to reconcile with our brother for the cause of Christ.

In our message today, John shares with us from Matthew 5:17-20 where Jesus transitions in His Sermon on the Mount and informs those listening that He hasn't come to abolish the Law, rather, He has come to fulfill the Law and in so doing establishes a new pattern for life that is different than that which is seen in the Scribes and Pharisees. Even today, the Old Testament Scriptures are powerful in that they point us to Christ and His Kingdom.
