2 Corinthians 10:3-6

• God has given us an invitation to a way of living. To trust in the unseen & not only the seen.

• We can be religious and still not have great faith.

• My ability to be a partner of God is related to our ability to perceive the unseen. We have been invited to a life of faith of the unseen. There are already many things in our lives that we cannot see, yet we know they are there.

• If we live by the flesh & only what we see, we have limited God in our lives.

• The truly miraculous is not what we can physically see. The greatest breakthroughs are in the unseen.

• If a person cannot hear music, they will see people dancing and perceive them to be crazy. This is much like the way people that cannot perceive Jesus Christ in their lives watch people of faith live.

• The most astonishing things about the birth of the Lord Jesus wasn't the star, or the Wise Men or even a young poor couple having a tough time; instead, it was that God Almighty planned to save humanity by arriving among us a defenseless baby boy.

• What identifies us as followers of Jesus Christ isn't that we follow the rules or laws set before us to live by, but instead it is Who we identify with. In other words, Who is our Father?

• God is committed to imperfect people.

• We thought that we needed laws, but God gave us tenderness instead.

• We can know many truths about someone without knowing them and their heart.

• Almighty God showed His heart to us by coming as a vulnerable baby.

• No matter how much we know about God, try a little tenderness for people.

• At the time of the Birth of Jesus Christ, Israel was under Roman occupation. The only way for a person to get ahead in this occupied society was through religious law. Even so, the religious lawyers missed the coming of Messiah.

• God will find & use people who are already working & giving of themselves to empower for others

• Without the Lord Jesus, there is nothing truly eternal we on our own can accomplish.

• The Lord Himself showed us that preferring others over ourselves by the act of love, is the only way to change the world.

Is. 7:14 9:6 Matt 1:20-23

• Jesus Christ came to the world to give great wisdom to us.

• Where Jesus Christ is being preached anywhere in this world, that nation is blessed.

• Jesus Christ taught us to do unto others the same way we want us to be treated.

• Jesus Christ is Almighty God Who came in Human flesh. More than just a man.

• It important for us to know Who Jesus Christ is.

• Don't ask from God what you can do for yourself.

• The greatest gift that we can receive for Christmas is to be born again of the water and the Spirit.

• We can give a gift to God by forgiving everyone who has done us wrong.

• As we have received mercy, we must give it to others. Bless others instead of cursing them.

• For some people, Christmas is a difficult time due to some occurrence from the past.

• Sometimes the ones that we love the most, are ones that hurt us.

• Our first choice should be to pray for the one that hurt us.

• The next choice that we should make is to forgive them.

• Thirdly, we should choose to ask God for them to be blessed.

• If we don't forgive, we cannot be forgiven.

• There is beauty on the other side of forgiveness.

• We should focus on how many times God has given you grace & has forgiven you.

• Pray, forgive & bless.

• Giving grace and forgiveness is a basic, yet a difficult principle of Christianity.

• It is truly amazing that our infinite & eternal God would repair fallen humanity by first making Himself vulnerable as a baby.

• A day will come when the redemption story will have ended & we stand before our Creator/Savior.

• If the church is still here, it is because our purpose isn't completed yet.

• Purpose of the church is shown to us in the Epistles:

1. We were planned for God's pleasure. We can never be complete without God, & God has chosen not to be complete without us.

2. We were formed for God's family.

3. Because we are created in God's image, purpose motivates us.

4. We are shaped to serve God. Without Jesus Christ in our lives, we live a life without a purpose. With Jesus, our purpose is focused.

• Jesus Christ gives each of us a purpose. Through Jesus Christ our purpose has eternal meaning and significance.

• God does not leave things the way He finds them. He is a transforming agent.

• A church will allow you to let go of who you used to be and become who you can be.

• Our differences are the point and not mistakes!

• Just as the individual ingredients of a desert in themselves may be too much of one thing, the finished recipe tastes amazing.

• Four things that enabled multiplication in the Body of Christ:

1. Peace (pray for peace & unity) The problem begins when we trade peace for fighting to be right about whatever it may be.

2. Edification: is believing in someone else more than they believe in themselves. Always looking for the good in others. Preferring one another.

3. Live in fear of God: this is a multi-faceted concept meaning devotion, service, love relation, respect, terror, living for an audience of One. (we can instead fear what people think of us, instead of what God thinks about us) A form of godliness; which is void of any power) We must be real.

4. The comfort of the Holy Spirit: this literally means that the Holy Spirit comes alongside us as we walk in the Spirit.

2 Samuel 7:18

• Why do we sit before the Lord? We sit before the Lord because we know that it will take a while to process all that He has done for us.

• Thanksgiving is not something we feel, it's something we do.

• We need to be thankful, and not rush through it by taking it for granted.

• We make the mistake of thinking that God's level of commitment to us is on the same level as our commitment to Him. No, His commitment is much greater than ours. When we've quit on Him, He has not quit on us, but still loves us, reaches for us and waits for us.
