Oftentimes we feel like the way that society is headed is completely in the wrong direction. But if history is any indication, if what Jesus said is any indication, this isn't something that should surprise us. But as the church, we are called to be separate from the world. In it but not of it. This is not our home. We are strangers in a strange land called to proclaim the praises of Jesus.

We are a people of hope guarded by God's power through faith. We hope together but we don't hope in each other. We have a living hope in Jesus. And because we are a people of hope, we can flourish in the face of anything this life throws at us.

At salvation not only are we clothed with Christ and given a robe of righteousness, but we are also given armor. This armor is for a real but invisible war that is raging. Scripture tells us to put on that armor and stand firm for the fight.

In week 5 of Unstoppable, we're discovering the law of the land in the Kingdom of God. This is how we are called to live: cross, righteousness, and love. Those three words should characterize our lives. Every. Single. Day.
