Interview with the Armstrongs, missionaries to Asia & the Pacific. We discuss what they enjoy most about their ministry and their challenges. I think it was very challenging and interesting when Don speaks about what so many have to give up when they declare Jesus as Lord in their culture. He also asked for prayer for the Church in Hong Kong as China begins to absorb Hong Kong into it the Chinese regime and state-run church.

As regional coordinators for Asia and the Pacific, Don and Caroline travel extensively throughout the region, working in collaboration with national leaders to develop regional ministry strategies and country-specific strategies, cultivating relationships within the Church of God across Asia and the Pacific, connecting the church across the region. They also oversee projects and missionaries in the region, providing pastoral care and supervision.

Paul and Kattia serve alongside the national church through biblical and ministerial training of lay church leaders. Paul does regular itinerant preaching and evangelism at weekend camp meetings, known as juntas that take place on the date of the churches’ anniversaries. Kattia works with the women’s groups, teaching conferences both locally and nationally. And she supports the youth in youth camps and conferences; and also ministering to children through puppets and other visual aids.

In my interview with the Jones we discuss what they enjoy most about their ministry and their challenges. I found their commentary on how involved lay people are in the leadership and ministry very interesting and conducive to planting and starting churches.

Interview with Danny Lopez, missionary to the country of Guatemala.

I first met Danny while he was a youth minister in Alabama before he was called to Guatemala. After he left Alabama for Guatemala, I was invited to bring my youth ministry down to help with the mission. We were the first group to visit Danny almost 9 years ago.

I have taken several groups down to work alongside Danny because Danny’s ministry is so impactful. He ministers with his heart, his head and his hands and he expects everyone who visits him to do so as well. This is why I love visiting Danny and introducing people to his ministry. I want to introduce you to Dan and Christy Kihm missionaries who live in Budapest Hungry. They spend most of their time pouring into church leaders across Europe and the Middle East. They are one of twelve mission families or organizations we support monthly around the globe.

In my interview with the Kihms we discuss their ministry goals, what they enjoy about being a missionary and some of the challenges they are facing right now with the world-wide pandemic.
