The church is the source of creativity. In this sermon, we'll explore the theology of creativity and its application in our lives.

Church, God’s community, is a source of goodness.

Church, God’s community, is the source of comfort. God’s comfort extends way beyond the physical realm. It touches our soul. When we receive God’s comfort in our own lives and brokenness, we are called to also share that comfort with others through our brokenness. 

Church, God’s community, is the source of grace. God’s community called the church is designed to share this wonderful and offensive grace in equal portion with everyone through Jesus.

Church, God’s community, is the source of identity. We discover our true identity as citizens in the Kingdom of God when we receive God’s validation of love and grace offered to us in Jesus Christ and then we live our lives in response to that love through practices and virtues that reflect that Kingdom.

Church, God’s community, is the source of purpose. When we delight ourselves in the Lord by pursuing God’s desires over our own desires, we discover our full human purpose, passion, and identity.

Church, God’s community, is the source of play. How can we engage with God in ways that we didn't think was allowed, or perhaps we forgot how to do.

Secure in God’s love (hesed), the church loves others through unity in diversity.

Church is the source of true community.

When we share lives of Resurrection power in Jesus, in the intersections of our culture for the healing and betterment of others, we invite renewal for a missional movement.
