Christians are people who “walk by faith and not by sight.” Our faith is not contrasted with reason; it’s contrasted with sight. As we begin Lent and celebrate communion together, we will look at how Jesus is enough. Many times in our day to day lives we forget the impact of all that Jesus accomplished and we may falter in seeking him, but when we meditate on all that he has done it draws us to worship and trusting dependence.

But what does this mean and how can this description help us to better understand the Christian life and the unique difficulties we face? Isaiah ministers to a kingdom and people who are confused and fearful. It sounds a lot like many in our world today. It may even sound like us at FCCH. What are we to do with these feelings and the vast concerns that weigh on our hearts and minds? We will look at Isaiah’s call to ground our response to life’s challenges in the character and presence of the living God who has power and authority over all.
