Listen Later

We know you had a rough night, but there’s SPORTS to be discussed! Sober up!

Happy New Year everyone!
One game on tap for area basketball teams yesterday.  Austin Peay beat North Florida in Clarksville, 65 to 60.  Governors on the road at Ole Miss this Saturday.
Murray State is on the road at Morehead this Saturday and Western Kentucky will host Marshall on Sunday afternoon in Bowling Green.
All this week, we’re checking in with John Calipari as he talks about the first half of the season.  He was asked if he had ANY idea this year’s team would be as good defensively as it has been.

Cal spent his New Year’s Eve in Myrtle Beach at the Beach Ball Classic, watching Stephen Zimmerman of Bishop Gorman high school play.  Bishop Gorman easily won the championship game of the tournament, and Zimmerman was named tournament MVP.

One of Kentucky’s top recruiting targets in the class of 2015 will announce his college decision Friday on national television.

Five-star shooting guard Antonio Blakeney is scheduled to reveal his choice live on ESPNU at 4:30 p.m. His finalists are UK, Louisiana State and Missouri.  He is a five star scoring guard from Orlando and most predictions have him going to LSU
Blakeney is the player who was committed to Louisville for a total of 11 days last year before changing his mind.
We’re also reviewing the 2014 Titans.  Coach Ken Whisenhunt was asked if there was any particular area that the Titans needed to address.  Whether it was speed, size, whatever.

We’ll wind up our week long review of the Titans tomorrow.
