Pastor Adam Bowers continues our Revelation Part 2 series, exploring Revelation 6 and the opening of the seven seals. As the Lamb opens each seal, John sees images of conquest, war, famine, death, persecution, and cosmic judgment. While Christians have different perspectives on how these visions will ultimately be fulfilled, the central message remains clear: God is sovereign, Jesus is in control, and His purposes will be accomplished. We don't need to have every detail of prophecy figured out to trust God. In the midst of suffering, uncertainty, evil, and a world that can feel out of control, we can remember that nothing happens outside of God's authority. Revelation also points us to the seriousness of sin, the reality of God's judgment, and the incredible grace of Jesus, who gave His life so that we could be reconciled to God. Ultimately, the question isn't just "how" will Revelation be fulfilled, but "who" is in control. The answer is Jesus, the Lamb.

As John is invited through a door into heaven, he sees the reality that changes how we see everything else: God is on the throne. This message reminds us that in the midst of suffering, uncertainty, temptation, and a world that can feel out of control, we can look to the throne and trust in the holiness, power, and sovereignty of God. Through Jesus, the door to God's presence has been opened, and we can approach the throne of grace because the Lamb is worthy.

Jonah was a reluctant witness who brought a message to Nineveh with little grace or enthusiasm. Yet God had already been preparing the people to hear His message. Their response reminds us that we don't know what God is doing behind the scenes, and we don't have to carry the entire burden of someone's journey of faith.

• Understand the journey of faith
• Look for "third places" where we can build relationships and share Jesus
• Pray for unlikely people—even those we don't expect to turn to God
• Share a message that includes both truth and grace

The Gospel came to you on its way to someone else. God is already working. Our job is to faithfully go, love people, pray, and share the good news of Jesus.
