David Jonas Armstrong is someone I personally resonate with and is someone that has gone through a lot of adversity and difficulties growing up in Vancouver, BC. I consider his upbringing pretty rough compared to what is deemed a "normal" childhood in society today.
Growing up with a single mother and two sisters, he grew-up trying to fit in and find a place to belong. He has been through many group homes, the juvenile system, and incarcerated. He was exposed to drugs, alcohol, and the impacts it on him and his environment and surroundings while growing up. 
He is on our platform today with hopes of sharing his story to give perspective and to help others out there that may be experiencing or know someone that is experiencing something similar. Even with all the adversity and difficulties he has had to face while growing up, he has worked his butt off and is now a Red Seal Journeyman Electrician. On his spare time, you will find him volunteering his time at the local Vancouver soup kitchens and offering his electrician services at cost for those that are less fortunate.

Allen Jay is an American Film Director, writer, producer and actor. He studied acting at the Camden county college for a year and in 2013, he studied film at the art institute of Philadelphia. He acted in many stage plays since he was six years old and starred in his first lead short independent film roll called “ Azul.” He went on and was a background actor in the feature film called”Creed.” Our guest also directed his first feature film called “Family Secrets.” He started and co-founded Mindset studios and is the founder of Eaglestower production. Since 2019, he has done many mini short and short films and now in the processing to release his first feature film he written and directed called “Today will be Different.”

Maim Kim had moved to Seoul, South Korea from the United States in 2012 to start a new chapter. Before then, he had felt confused with his life with no direction, network, money, and purpose. He had nothing but a genuine desire to become the best version of himself and to explore his roots, learn his mother tongue, learn how to be a functioning member of society, and discover what value he has to offer the world. Tyler Ransom is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist with a steep background in Jazz, Blues, and Rock & Roll. He is also a published author and the focus of a documentary (On Demand) titled ‘In the Shed.’ His music defies boundaries as his sound is heavily influenced by John Mayer, Bob Dylan, B.B. King and UK artists Loyle Carner and King Krule. He is presently attending The New School of Performing Arts in NYC, studying Jazz guitar with a new album release titled ENDS WELL on all streaming platforms. He is also a Brazilian jiu jitsu and mixed martial arts enthusiast who has been battling a kidney illness called Nephrotic Syndrome since the age of 2. In his spare time, he is an avid chess player and eats a ton of vegetables.

Don Catacutan has a mission of inspiring and helping the mental illness and homeless community in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Through his own hardships and obstacles he has had to overcome, he wishes to share his experience going through the foster care system and battling schizophrenia to help educate and promote awareness for individuals suffering from mental health. From his experiences, he is also passionate with helping individuals battle against hate, racism, diversity, mental illness and homelessness through his campaign “I’m Still a Human Being.” As a proud father, he is also focused on building a legacy for his daughter through his hard work and determination.
