First Person

It’s getting hot in here, so the only thing left to do is play some super summer jams and eat some ice cubes. The Fugees, Mariah Carey, Trick Daddy, and more are all up on the latest First Person.

Audrey the music programming dog has a sick lineup for you tonight with tracks from Tennis, Static Jacks, and Alex Winston. His owner Dan Ravine and our host Josh Madden are there as well, but trust us when we say Audrey really steals the show.

This week, Josh’s pal Troublemaker is on after a day of skateboarding in New York City. The two talk about the music Troublemaker has worked on, how he got into the business, and Reo Speedwagon and Family Ties.

Summertime is coming and Josh has plenty of songs for you to bump in your ride on the way to the beach (or the Dairy Queen, your call). The Dove Shack, Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa, Will Smith and more are on this week’s playlist.

Josh is handing over the show once more to Matt Devine (Kill Hannah, Spiderman: Turn Off The Dark). They talk about the reality of dating musicians vs the fantasy, celebrating those you’ve lost in life, and the lameness of discrimination.

Josh’s recent listening habits of Frank Ocean and The Weeknd have led him to a deep dive of 90’s R&B. We’ll hear plenty of groove-worth tracks throughout the hour, so make sure you’re listening.

Our fearless host is feeling a bit off this week, but the music sure isn’t. From Matthew Sweet to Juliana Hatfield, The Rentals to Silverchair, you’re sure to find a new favorite song on First Person.

An all new show with all new music? We’ll take it. Guards, Reptar, Children of the Night, Swizz Beatz… phew, it’s almost too much to remember. Almost.
