I hope this video will peak your curiosity and kickstart you into transitioning from Protestantism to Orthodoxy, where you belong. Here are some things to think about: Mormons believe that after the apostles, there was a great apostasy until Joseph Smith restored the true faith in the 19th century. Although not quite as extreme, most evangelical protestants must believe at least some form of the "great apostasy" story, naming Luther or Calvin as the heros instead. Questions to ask yourself as a Protestant: -What did the Church consistently believe at all times before the reformation about the real presence in the eucharist (communion)? -What did the Church consistently believe at all times before the reformation about apostolic succession & ecclesiastical authority? -(after doing some research to verify that the Orthodox perspective was always held) Am I really ready to say that the Church was universally wrong about these things and so many more for 1500 years? -Do I find it problematic that nobody believed in "bible alone" for the first 1500 years of Church history? "To be deep in history is to cease to be protestant" - Cardinal Newman I'm looking forward to hearing about your Baptism/Chrismation into the Orthodox Church. (Don't become a Catholic please - it's not the true Church)
