Description: This course reviews childhood Apraxia of speech. It explains who can diagnose and how to diagnose Apraxia in children. It also informs the listeners on writing goals and planning treatment. 1 clock hour of continuing education credit (Introductory Level, Professional Area).

As a result of this presentation the participant will be able to:  

1. define who can diagnose Childhood Apraxia of Speech.

2. identify what is required from the child in order to be diagnosed with Childhood Apraxia of Speech.
3. summarize characteristics of appropriate goals for a client diagnosed with Childhood Apraxia of Speech.
