First-Time Dad

In this episode, I discuss "term", which is the length of time a fetus spends in the womb before he/she is born. Relatively recent changes by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) have created further distinctions with what used to be the normal term. My baby is considered pre-term himself, but he was thankfully healthy and normal when he came out.

In this episode, I share my birthing experience in the time of the global pandemic known as COVID-19. I've heard stories of how dads used to be allowed in the delivery room, and how birthing was a relatively smooth process. But the COVID-19 pandemic has changed all that and brought us a new normal, especially in terms of hospital protocols and safety practices. 

In this pilot episode of my first solo podcast that chronicles my parenting journey, I discuss the "baby bag", also known as the "hospital bag"; that is, the bag you should bring with you to the hospital when your wife is about to give birth. I mention the things that should be inside this bag, the important things that you should bring, not just for your baby, but for the parents as well, during your stay in the hospital.
