Bio: Aaliyah McNair is a Brooklyn, New York native in her first year of graduate school at University at Albany SUNY School of Social Welfare. She has professional experience within substance abuse, trauma work, child welfare, and crisis intervention. Aside from running her own therapeutic blogging platform “Volumes of Velvet”, and an all-natural skin care company “Delicada Skincare, LLC”, Aaliyah strives to bring originality and compassion to the mental health field. Upon obtaining her Masters in Social Work, Aaliyah aims to provide trauma focused therapy to veterans, as well as working with victims of sexual abuse. In the near future, Aaliyah will obtain her LCSW, in hopes of opening her own private practice.
