Shaking Off The Blows of Life - Here in our community of North East Louisiana we've been dealt quite a few blows from the recent hurricanes, but it's our perseverance that will allow us to shake them off and continue moving forward. When you're hit with obstacles in life you have the option to either stay down, or shake them off and move forward as well. Will you choose to rely on God to help you move past what's happened recently and learn from it or stay down when life comes at you?

Persevering When You Want To Quit - We were not put on this earth to simply exist and wait to be called home, but as Paul writes, we were created to run the race to which we were called. Our race implies that there is a finish line, and stopping short when things get hard isn't an option. We must persevere to the end to receive the reward for which we're running.

The Power of Perseverance - Everything that God wants for us is just outside of our comfort zone, and it's only when we persevere through the uncomfortable that we get to the other side. It's this perseverance that allows us to push through when it seems life is coming at us from all sides nonstop. It's our reliance on God in these situations that gives us strength to persevere with true grit!

Building Your Grit As A Christian - Our lives as Christians require perseverance and grit that we in our own strength can't produce. Building Patience Through Humor - A good sense of humor can make a lot of things in our life better, and patience is certainly on that list. Our ability to look at a situation we're in or look back on a situation with laughter allows us to relieve some of the stress we're feeling and move forward with less frustration.

Increasing Patience By Changing Perspective - Seeing ourselves as the center of the universe, and viewing our needs as the most important isn't healthy for us personally or those we're a witness to. However, when we see others as just as important as us we realize their needs and wants are just as important. Changing our perspective to love others will give us grace and help us to love others even deeper.

Overcoming Irritation With Patience - The Grace of Jesus Christ is what enables us as Christians to produce the patience needed to overcome irritations in our lives. All we need to do is ask our Heavenly Father and He will supply us with all the patience we need.
