And so I start the cold hard truth podcast series. . . I have 130K followers on tiktok. I have 30K on Instagram. With all that, I have realized how social media makes an impact on my life and what the truths really are behind it. Enough of hearing how great social media is, in all reality it is destroying lives.
Chatterbaits. . . what are they? Why are fisherman using these and why do they work? What color should you buy? What size? What knot to tie them on with? What TRAILER jigs? What ARE trailer jigs (they really are a present to bass once a chatterbait hits the bottom, like a yummy snack)? Chatterbaits are a bait EVERY fisherman needs in their tackle box, so listen to figure out which one to buy and how to work it!
Each day we are one day closer to our last. What is after this? What even is faith? While we hear day in and day out what people believe in, we fail to ask WHY they believe in that. I talk about this very question and dive into the true meaning behind what it means to be a saved Christian. While many believe in God, what does that mean? What do you believe? Why do you believe. Faith is not simple to someone who does not know it. So, let's find out what it is! What is faith? But most importantly where is your faith? Many have heard of the gospel and of Jesus's story, but do you really know it? This could be your last day, what are you going to do about it?
Wanna know exactly what I use for Rods and Reels, well, you're in the right spot! Seriously, everything I own, and I own an unnecessary amount of gear. Fishing for me is my splurge and this is simply all I own! Keep sending me ideas for future podcasts! From largemouth bass, to crappie, to musky, to everything few and far between- take a listen!
Ever wanted to learn how to use a baitcast, well, it's your lucky day. Fishing with a baitcast is a entire new and exciting thing, but can often times be a headache. I cover what gear ratio you should get, what spool tension is, what brakes are, what that little star lookin thing is by your handle, and how to prevent a birdnest. Make sure to put backing on your reel if your using braid (forgot to add that in, match the line diameter!). Now go and buy yourself a baitcast with confidence and certainty that you know exactly what you're doing!
I've caught some crazy things lemme tell ya. Some things just go to show how random my fishing adventures might be. From one second I think I'm reeling in a 20lb bass, to quickly learning I'm hooked on a snapper. A quick story time, I know. But with life as crazy as it is right now, bare with me! Let me know what y'all still want to hear!
Way back in August I caught my best bass to date. What better way than to tell y'all the story of it! It's always when you least expect! Largemouth bass are something I value more than other species because of their pure passion and fight against the hook. Listen in and sending you wishes for tight lines and new PR's!
There is so many different brands and different options. In this podcast I cover those differences. From braid, to fluorocarbon, to monofilament. I go over exactly what line I use and what line I recommend you use. I know that it can be stressful when being faced with the decision that could make or brake your fishing experience. Line is THE MOST IMPORTANT thing while fishing in my opinion (of course lure choice is even more important) but to me, line is more important than your rods and reels!
This is my story and why exactly I started to fish. Each person has their unique story as to why they do what they do. This is mine. From being a small town girl in Nebraska to reaching over 200 thousand people through social media, this is why I keep doing what I am doing. Fishing is something so many look to in times of despair, times of joy, and times of need. Through each cast I'll let you know why I keep pursuing my fishing career and what brought me into it.
We both know fishing can be crazy expensive. But you don't have to be rich to get quality rods and reels for a decent price. Here are some of the rods and reels I own and stand by, but are still price friendly at high quality. I let you know what rods and reels I consider "lower tier" for the more begginer fisherman who aren't entirely sure If they want to invest in a nicer rod and reel. Then I move to that mid-range fishing criteria, then close with the higher end. I let you know my opinion and what I have learned being a female fisherman in this fishing industry. Again, don't go around looking lost when buying your first reel, let me take care of that initial confusion and nervousness away from you.
