This week the Fitness Unfiltered team (sadly missing Mike) were fortunate enough to be joined by Rachel Hobbs RD PDip MBDA (IG: rachelannehobbs) to explore her fascinating work with, and around performance sport and her specialist eating disorders clinic. Rachel outlines the distinct differences between eating disorders and disordered eating patterns and what's almost become acceptable norms in certain populations. Are there links between addiction, perfectionism, preoccupation with food, certain sports and our bodies?
Rachel shares her wealth of experience with some real pragmatic tips for health professionals and listeners outside of fitness and health alike, in terms or when to refer out, where to seek help and advice, and maintaining a level of self care so signs are recognisable.
