GB International cross country runner and Cambridge University student Niamh Bridson-Hubbard joins the podcast to talk all things success and the sport.
Whilst juggling rigorous academics Niamh has slowly and steadily continued to rise through the ranks, in particular over the past few years. Naturally Niamh shares her training and personal reflections around her running journey, including how certain changes in her life have enabled her to begin to tap into her full potential. But this episode also has a wider meaning, hosting an insightful and thought provoking discussion around the sport itself. How can the current structure of the sport potentially change to see increased sustained health for female athletes, longevity within the sport, and more senior level success.
Lots to learn from and think about here.

This week Olympian, 2023 British 1500m champion and world finalist, and the newly crowned British record holder for the mile, Katie Snowden, joins the podcast to shed light on the secret to sustained success.
Katie is not only an exceptional athlete with regard to her calibre, but her avoidance of injuries and other major obstacles is definitely something to talk about.
Another unique aspect to Katie is the number of years she has sat in at the very top of the spot. She still holds the number 1 all time spot for the 400m as a U15, which is only a part of her loaded resume of junior accomplishments which include world championships and the junior Olympics.
Obviously Katie was born to run. But talent alone is never enough in such a tough sport. Katie also has, and has had, a great mindset and approach to training, which she shares in the episode.
Including as always a female specific discussion point which this week delves into a women's only meet.

M11 Track Club's Ava Lloyd joins the podcast to share her journey to her success over the past season. Ava placed 5th in the World U20 1500m Championships, took 2 National titles across the 800m (indoors) and 1500m, and competed in several international meets.
Although despite some very impressive PB's and a lot of success this year it has not been plane sailing and rainbows for Ava. Like many, Ava battled with several years of the dreaded 'Runners Plateau', before coming out the other side. In her case this was a result of her changing body, something which many teenage girls struggle with and could be a reason in the high drop out rates of girls in the sport. Ava's approach to adversity is inspiring and motivating, as she demonstrates where grit, determination, and trusting the process can get you.
