After the unjust death of John the Baptist, Jesus withdraws to grieve—but when the crowds follow Him, His compassion moves Him to heal and feed them. With only five loaves and two fish, He performs one of His most astounding miracles, showing that nothing is impossible with God. Today’s passage reminds us that even in sorrow, Jesus meets needs abundantly and multiplies what we faithfully place in His hands.
