Coach Seth and Mia are joined by Producer and Research Specialist Brandon to discuss the next part of a 6 lesson series on conflict. Why are people mean on purpose? The answer: justification. This is where most people struggle with conflict because they match energy. If someone is nice to us, we will be nice back. If someone is mean to us, we will be mean back. People who are mean on purpose are often trying to bait you. They have no power or control over you, unless you give it to them. If you don’t give them the power to be mean, they move on. In order to restore your power and live a Five Star life, you have to live by integrity. Coach Seth encourages listeners to have the strength not to take the bait and walk away.
Program Director Keenan Story joins the show to discuss the need for volunteers for Five Star Life's upcoming Spring Break and After School Programming at Summit.

Coach Seth and Mia are joined by Producer and Research Specialist Brandon to discuss the next part of a 6 lesson series on conflict. Do you know the secret to dealing with conflict? Refuse to be offended. We cannot control other people and how they treat us. Don’t let the bad experiences, or bad feelings, stick to you and stay with you throughout your day. That pent up anger is toxic. You have the choice to refuse to be offended and to leave the negativity behind without taking it with you. So many conflicts can be completely avoided if we choose to sacrifice our right to be offended because what we gain is peace and power, which is a game changer and next-level living..
Director of Basketball Operations Brae Beadles joins the show to discuss upcoming opportunities with Five Star Basketball.

Coach Seth sits down with Producer and Research Specialist Brandon to discuss the first part of a 6 lesson series on conflict. The secret to you repairing your relationship with yourself is to master inner conflict. Who you are is your identity, which is broken into your self-image (how you feel about yourself) and your self-concept (the picture or image you have of yourself). Your self-concept is broken into two parts, your ideal self and your feared self. Choosing your feared self creates inner conflict. When we choose not to be a person of integrity, we struggle with inner conflict because we know we aren’t behaving as the person we want to be. Every time you make a choice to live as your ideal self, you reaffirm your identity and you reaffirm your self-image. You don’t have to have constant inner conflict. You can rebuild your confidence and you can make a daily choice to be a person who lives with integrity.

Coach Seth and Mia are joined by Producer Brandon to discuss Five Star Life's newest video curriculum series RULE. In this series, Coach Seth is teaching students how to take dominion or control over different aspects of their lives. There are many things that can impact your health, including laziness. Laziness is defined as the quality of being unwilling to work or use energy; idleness. Coach Seth teaches listeners to have the courage to build discipline in their life by creating habits that improve their relationships with their families. Listeners are encouraged to pause and ask themselves "Am I responding to this situation in fear or love?".

Change your mindset. Change your future.
Welcome to Five Star Life with Coach Seth, the podcast dedicated to our core mission:
Transforming students' lives by challenging the way they think, act, and lead.
Research shows that a person's mindset dictates their success or failure. Far too many kids disengage or drop out because they don’t value education—and ultimately, don’t value themselves. Five Star Life attacks this root issue head-on.
Join Coach Seth and Coach Mia as they break down our proprietary, research-informed curriculum for adults and kids alike. Whether you are a parent, educator, mentor, or student, each episode delivers actionable insights rooted in the core pillars of success:
Five Star Values: Respect, Responsibility, Integrity, Sacrifice, and Courage.
We promise that if you listen, absorb, and apply these lessons, your mindset will shift—and you’ll unlock the tools to change your life and the lives of those around you.
