Five0 Asylum

Episode 38.) This week Jesse leaves the guys high and dry so that he can celebrate his wife’s birthday… LAME! Luckily, friend of the show Kate Clef (@kateclef) was up to the task of filling in for him. 

Our guest this week is Lala Fox (@lalafox92). Lala is a social media influencer, but more importantly, she is a DIY Foxbody lady! You can see her installs on her YouTube channel and follow her on TikTok and Instagram. 

As usually happens, conversations cover a vast variety of topics! Lala discusses sponsors, her new wheels (which she debuted this past weekend), all female true street and how her YouTube channel came to be. More importantly, she discusses some of her personal struggles over the last year or so. 

There is also a discussion of tatas! Well, breast cancer... On a serious note, Kate bravely shares her own (current) journey with breast cancer. Keep her in your prayers on 19 June 2023, as that is the day she goes in for her procedure.  

This is a great conversation, you’ll really get to know more about Lala.

Episode 37.) This week we spend time with everyone’s favorite Hawaiian, Joe (insta @89_screampuff_5.0). For those not acquainted with Joe, he owns pretty much every cherry Foxbody on Hawaii and constantly builds bangers! 
We discuss Joe’s Foxbody passion, where it came from how he manages to track down such prime examples of great Foxbodies, and a lot about life.
Tom goes on a rant, you’re gonna love it. John does John stuff.

Episode 36.) This week sit down with Gary, owner of the Blank Check Fox. You have undoubtedly seen this magnificent, custom blue, 86 GT appear in your Instagram feed lately. I can assure you this thing is 100% better in person.
At Ponies in The Smokies, this car certainly stood out from the crowd and made an immediate impact on the Fox scene! Having been recently completed by the team over at Our Dream Auto, not a bolt was missed or penny spared on this build.
As great as the build is, the car has an awesome story. Gary shares with us his passion for performance and tells us how this 4 eye earned another life. He has owned this car since 1996.

Episode 35.) This week we took a few minutes to recap the amazing Chocolate Fox, put on by our friends at Foxy Events (https://www.foxy.events). Of course, we needed to call in some heavy hitters and friends to the show in order to fully capture the event. Brent and Mike came on to add to and drive the conversation. 
Jesse and Tom discuss the honor of being able to choose a Five0 Asylum choice award, but given the quality of EVERY car in attendance, what a task it was to pick only one.
Some great stories were told, and memories were made.

Episode 33.) This week, we again join forces with everyone’s favorite Canucks (Chris and Gary)! Special guest Jesse Barratt drops in to share his record-making experience at the Good Guys North Carolina Nationals. There he and his shop, Blue Sky Performance and Restoration, won an array of awards, featuring War Admiral and their 62 Impala builds. 

Aside from that, there is discussion about taking leaps of faith and doing what one loves to do. And key catalyst events that help put those things into perspective and provide the “push” necessary to get out of our own ways.

Episode 32.) This week we talk with Jenn, from Foxy Events (@jenn FoxyEvents). She is well known for creating two of the biggest Foxbody-specific events in the country;  Foxtoberfest and The Chocolate Fox. She, and her team, resurrected a Mustang Week staple, the Foxbody Cruise. 

We discuss how her love for foxes started, how to came to be the proud owner of “Peaches” as well as The Chocolate Fox, which is coming up in a couple of weeks.

Episode 30.) This week we talk with Adam Da-llama-leer (@adam_88tyote). Adam is well known throughout the Foxbody community, but he doesn’t have a “traditional Fox”. Adam has a Coyote swapped, ’88 Thunderbird. 

In this episode, Adam tells us about how he developed his love for cars and how he arrived at the Thunderbird camp. His car is truly breathtaking in person and is probably the best sounding coyote-swapped car out there! 
In addition to talking yotes and T-birds, Adam tells us about his collaboration with Caleb, from Foxcast Media, and the significance of the Harley Truck he and Dover are Coyote swapping for him.

Episode 29.) This week we sat down with two Detroit Foxbodys, Jon (@cornfed91fox) and Dee (@foxbody_dee) who walk us through their personal Foxbody stories and how the two of them came together to forge one of the most awesome Foxbody groups in the Nation!
If you haven’t seen the vidoes of the Detroit Foxbodys representing at Detroit Autorama the last few years, you are truly missing out. Their group has the distinction of owning some of the sickest Foxes in the country… but you would expect no less from those representing the motor city, right? 
This week John introduces a new segment… don’t worry it doesn’t involve riddles; called “Would you Rather…”
