FiveOne Volleyball

In this episode, the FiveOne Volleyball podcast returns from a break to recap three major tournaments: NORCECA, EuroVolley, and the World Cup. I am joined once again by Rob St. Claire, expert volleyball commentator, to go over the major storylines from these tournaments, including Cuba with Robertlandy Simon, Slovenia's incredible run beating Russia and Poland on the path to a silver medal, and what team USA can learn from the World Cup. The FiveOne Volleyball podcast is the best place on the internet to keep up to date with volleyball news, results, and storylines. In this podcast, I examine the offseasons of the major teams participating in the Russian and Brazilian superleagues. I review the major transactions, potential future lineups, and major questions facing each contender in both leagues. Both leagues saw dynasties (Zenit Kazan & Sada Cruzeiro respectively) dethroned and the competition for the title in the upcoming season is fierce. The FiveOne Volleyball podcast is the best place on the internet to keep up to date with volleyball news, results, and storylines. In this episode, I recap one of the biggest weekends of volleyball of the entire year. The Olympic Qualifying mini-tournaments may have had a lack of big upsets, but we certainly came close to some surprising results. Bulgaria almost beat Brazil, China came close to qualifying over Canada and Argentina, and Poland absolutely crushed France with the addition of Wilfredo Leon. Listen for my opinion on every pool! In this episode, I am joined by Rob St. Claire of the NVA for a discussion of the upcoming FIVB Olympic Qualifying tournaments. In particular, we focus on pools E & F where Russia battles Iran and Canada battle Argentina for a chance to directly qualify for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. Rob also gives his thoughts on the rest of the pools and we go over the NVA finals and their dream team. The FiveOne Volleyball podcast is the best place on the internet to keep up to date with volleyball news, results, and storylines. In this episode, I preview groups C & D from the FIVB Olympic Qualifying Tournaments taking place on August 9th-11th. These are probably the most anticipated pools of the entire tournament, with Italy & Serbia facing off in C, and Poland battling France in D. This is also Wilfredo Leon's first tournament as a member with the Polish national team. Who do I predict is going to win each pool? The FiveOne Volleyball podcast is the best place on the internet to keep up to date with volleyball news, results, and storylines. In this episode, I go over the first part of the u21 men's world championships taking place in Bahrain. The tournament has already eliminated half the teams, including Poland, Canada, and Cuba in a questionable format. I also review the offseason moves of the clubs in the Bundesliga and French Ligue A, going over notable transfers in and out. The FiveOne Volleyball podcast is the best place on the internet to keep up to date with volleyball news, results, and storylines. In this episode, I discuss the unexpected results of the nations league final 6 in Chicago. Attending the games in person, I got an in-depth appreciation for the high level of play, as well as an up-close look at the matchups between 4 elite teams. Russia's size and serving won in the end, but Poland was the darling of the tournament with a bronze finish playing with their "B" team. Brazil & USA came short this time, but both teams learned lessons for the rest of the summer. The FiveOne Volleyball podcast is the best place on the internet to keep up to date with volleyball news, results, and storylines.
