Fix Your Google Ads Location Settings for Better Targeting
By default, Google Ads targets people “in or showed interest in” your location—which can waste budget on irrelevant clicks from outside your target area.
To fix this, go to Campaign Settings → Locations → Location Options and switch to “People in or regularly in your target locations.”
This ensures your ads reach actual local customers, not just people who searched about the area. Better targeting = better results.
