Elspeth is a fund raiser for the Clatterbridge Cancer Centre (Wirral) which is a "centre of excellence" in cancer treatment in the North West of England. There is no end to the fund-raising ideas talked about. 

Shirley came to the Flame studio to talk about her passion for helping people in debt, and her involvement over the past 10 years of setting up CAP (Christians against Poverty) help centres across Wirral. And John Cheek also got Shirley to talk about local people who had found life changing help.

2018 marks the 40th Anniversary of what is probably the oldest surviving independent Christian record label in the UK - PLANKTON RECORDS. The label launched on 6th May 1978.
