It is looking to be a quiet weekend for most of the US, with widespread warmth across the southwest, Plains and midwest which could mean a milder weekend for parts of the Northeast.

However, Meteorologist Bernie Rayno (@AccuRayno on Twitter) says to "enjoy the tranquility...it's not going to last". There is a looming threat for severe weather and flash flooding for the Southeastern US mid to late-week, find out what that could mean and what areas could be affected.
