Our church has the tradition of greeting those around you. I spoke to a woman today who made me stop and think.

My house is normally pretty tidy with things picked up and a clean kitchen to work in. But I hire a couple of girls to come in twice a month to “deep clean.”

I love the weather in Arizona, even the very hot summer months. We have many neighbors that are snow birds and miss the lovely evenings, mud toads, and monsoons.

I have five granddaughters, ages 16-3. Watching them grow and mature is a joy and privilege even though I am a long distance Nana. But it is possible in this age of digital devices with texting and FaceTime.

A chapter closed this week and I pulled out my resume to update it. As I scrolled down the page listing activities, accomplishments, and positions, memories flooded my mind.
