Hailing from Dundalk, Covert has been part of the Irish Drum & Bass scene since the early 2000’s. Running Drum & Bass and Jungle nights for well over a decade in Dundalk and the surrounding areas, Covert has been partly responsible for bringing all things broken beat to the northeast. With a varying style of hard breaks, broken beats, Deep bass and industrial samples, Covert often keeps things gritty. Off late Covert has been dabbling with more Jungle and old skool sounds, using his weekly broadcast on the great ‘Unify Radio’ to move back and forth between styles.

You can catch Covert every Sunday afternoon on Unify Radio from 3pm to 5pm.

I’m delighted to be joined by Astrid Fox ᵃˢᵗʳⁱᵈ ᶠᵒˣ Perth Drum & Bass in the @phever_tvradio_PHEVER Global Community studio for an early Irish Jungle Drum’n’Bass spin on the turntables.

Kylie Hodgkinson aka Astrid Fox is a Drum and Bass DJ hailing from Australia, representing Perth D'n'B sound in verious clubs, festivals and radio stations in Aus and has even managed to teach Drum and Bass classes in a local school in Perth were the local TV station Channel 9 recorded her at work in the class room.

Austrid Fox is on a mini tour of the UK and Ireland were she played the Ministry of Sound and had a few radio guest apperances along the way. Austrid Fox now on the Irish leg of her journey after spending some quality time with her Irish family will be heading back home to Australia this week.

So what better way to wish her and her family a good Irish good bye than having a Jungle Drum'n'Bass spin in the Phever TV/Radio studio.
