It's the most wonderful time of the year ..... for some of us. But for others, it's not. For people like Elizabeth, it's not fun. It's not sparkly. Elizabeth doesn't like Christmas. In fact, it's a little safe to say that Elizabeth LOATHES Christmas. For those who aren’t decking halls with boughs of holly, Christmas – and the insufferable months it governs – can be a total nightmare.

All work and no play makes Elizabeth a dull boy. It also hurts Elizabeth's health and has a negative impact on her relationships and work life. Are you a workaholic and proud of it too? I sure am! I mean, I'm so gosh darn busy all the gosh darn time. You should admire me. Look at me! Look at my Busy Badge™ .. I wear it like a crown.

This week on #FLAW3D, my guest is Mike Smutka, CEO of buckets.co. What was supposed to be a lighthearted chat about time management and personal productivity turned out to be one of the most profound conversations I've had yet on the podcast. Mike is a recovering workaholic and me? Well, it seems I'm on a path that Mike has walked before. Something has to change.

Relationships are harder now because conversations are in print, arguments are over tweets and feelings are status updates.

Welcome back to #FLAW3D! In this week's episode, I reflect on the homework I was assigned by writer and columnist Gary Bainbridge in Episode 3. We talked about using your life as content for our 'online lives'. I spent seven days on a Gary AND self-imposed Twitter ban. I still tweeted about the weather, but I didn't really say anything personal. For once, I didn't overshare.

How do you think it went? Did I nail it? More than I thought I would. Did I like it? Oddly yes. It seems I rather enjoy having a mute button.

This week I’m thrilled to chat with Gary Bainbridge, writer, columnist and a man with ‘a way with words.’ I wanted to work on my very large flaw of oversharing my life on the internet. I knew Gary would be full of it (advice, of course) as he brilliantly uses his own life as inspiration for his weekly column. Somehow, when Gary talks about his life, it’s endearingly funny. Me? Not so much.

We spoke about living and working with your partner and they had great suggestions on how to react differently in situations where my partner doesn't want to do something I want to - even though we're together 24.7. They packed it all in years ago and are now true digital nomads, working and travelling the world together.

Their lifestyle, like mine, is unconventional and they've not only figured out how to live life together on the go and in amazing places around the world, but they've also learned to navigate negative, shall we say, 'feedback' from family and friends about their lifestyle. A lifestyle in which you spend pretty much every waking moment with the same person.
