What does it really mean to follow Jesus—not just believe in Him?

In this powerful Flawed & Free Sunday Service, we explore “The Cost of Carrying the Cross” and the true price of discipleship. While salvation is free, discipleship comes with a cost. Jesus never hid the price tag that accompanies following Him—carrying your cross requires surrender, obedience, humility, and trust in God’s leading.

This message challenges the difference between being a believer and being a disciple. Disciples don’t simply confess Christ—they follow Him, obey Him, and go where He sends them, even when it requires laying down emotions, comfort, and personal agendas.

We walk through scripture that reveals how God exalts those who humble themselves, why blood relations don’t always recognize spiritual assignments, and how our identity as disciples is rooted in God alone—not in proving ourselves to others.

There is a cost to the cross.

And the oil is costly.

In this powerful and timely Sunday service, Apostle LaTyna shares an important update for the Flawed & Free Church and delivers a revelatory word on what it truly means to be the Church.

Through Scripture, Apostle LaTyna reminds us that the Church Jesus died for was never confined to four walls or a physical location. The Church is a people. We are the ekklesia—the called-out ones—commissioned to carry the Gospel beyond brick and mortar and into the world.

Rooted in Matthew 28:19, this message calls believers back to the original mandate of the early Church:

to go, to disciple, and to bring Jesus to people—just as it was done in biblical days.

If you’ve ever wrestled with what church looks like in this season, your role in the Kingdom, or how to walk out your faith beyond a Sunday service, this message is for you.

God does not measure you by your service—He looks at your heart.

In this powerful sermon, Apostle Tyna of Flawed & Free confronts a hard but necessary truth: many want relief without repentance. While healing addresses what is broken, inner healing reveals why it is broken—and that requires surrender, humility, and a heart aligned with God.

Drawing from Jeremiah 8:18–22, Apostle Tyna revisits the prophet’s question: “Is there no balm in Gilead?” The answer is clear—yes, there is. The Balm of Gilead was a medicinal resin, but spiritually it represents repentance, forgiveness, restoration, and God’s covenant mercy. The issue is not the absence of healing—it is our resistance to it.

Through Isaiah 1:5, Matthew 9:12, Isaiah 53:5, Isaiah 61:1, and Psalm 147:3, this message reveals Jesus as the Great Physician, sent to heal the brokenhearted and restore what sin, trauma, and disobedience have damaged. Yet healing flows not from performance, but from heart posture.

If God is the Great Physician, why are you still wounded?

The balm is available—but will you repent, receive, and be restored?
