In this episode my brother and I discuss a local Black Family Social event that was organized by a local public school district. Schools put on meetings for specific groups in an effort to reach out to parents in an effort to help them get engaged but is it necessary to separate them by racial or ethnic characteristics? Should public entities support these kinds of events or should they be open to anyone regardless of racial or ethnic characteristics? We discuss these topics in the context of the current race relations in the US, trying to take into consideration the civil rights movement and the principles behind equality under the law and liberty for all.
