1.Flesh = Carnal = sinful = serves law of sin

(Romans 7:5,14,23,25)

2. Inner man = Mind = spirit = serves Law of God which is spiritual (Romans 7:14, 22-23, 25; Ephesians 4:23)

3. in order that the requirements of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the spirit. (Romans 8:4)

4. Use your spirit [mind] to put to death the deeds of the flesh (Romans 8:13)

5. We are spiritual [mental], not carnal [flesh], if the Holy Spirit dwells in us (Romans 8:9)

6. The Holy Spirit testifies to our spirit (Romans 8:16)

7. Our outer man [body] is decaying but our inner man [mind] is being renewed day by day. (2 Corinthians 4:16)

8. spirit = mind (Ephesians 4:23)
