The Flight Shrink

Flight #3 - Coping with Stress in Aviation

Listen Later

I started The Flight Shrink as a newsletter that could be useful to the general public as a resource for mental health topics.  But I also wanted it to speak specifically to mental health concerns in pilots and others who are asked to meet high medical standards in order to be certified to do their jobs.

So I’d like about half of the posts to focus on aircrew and the mental health issues they may face.  While these posts may be directed at pilots, I feel the information can be useful to everyone, because we all may someday face a challenge with mental health and how it affects our ability to function either at work, home, socially, or just within our own mind.

And so, this is the first post written specifically for pilots and other aircrew, but I hope everyone who reads it can benefit from the ideas presented.  And with that, here is the latest Flight Shrink post.
